Story Mission (“Story Mission,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Chandler, Arizona. We bring the mission field home through cinematic stories of what God is doing around the world. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit storymission.org, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information You Give Us
When you fill out a form on our site (for example, to contact us, request a story, or partner with us), we collect what you choose to share. This usually includes your name, email address, phone number, church or organization, and your message.
If you email or call us directly, we keep that correspondence so we can respond and follow up.
Donations
Donations are processed by PayPal. When you give, you leave our site and complete your gift on PayPal’s secure platform. Story Mission does not receive or store your full card or bank account details. PayPal shares the information we need to acknowledge your gift and provide tax receipts, such as your name, email address, gift amount and date. PayPal’s use of your information is governed by its own privacy policy.
Information Collected Automatically
With your consent, we use cookies and similar technologies to understand how visitors use our site and to measure our outreach. This may include your browser type, device, approximate location (city or region), pages visited, how you arrived at our site, and actions such as submitting a form or clicking a phone number, email link or donate button.
Analytics and Advertising Tools
We use Google Tag Manager to manage the tools below. These tools only run after you accept the relevant cookie category in our consent banner.
- Google Analytics 4 helps us understand how visitors find and use our site. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy.
- Meta Pixel and Conversions API help us measure the effectiveness of our Facebook and Instagram outreach and show our stories to people who may be interested. When you take an action like submitting a form or clicking to donate, we may let Meta know that the action happened. We do not share the contents of your form submissions with Meta or Google.

How We Share Information

- With service providers who help us run our ministry, such as website hosting, email delivery (SendGrid), payment processing (PayPal) and analytics. They may use it only to provide services to us.
- When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and property of Story Mission or others.
- With your permission.
Stories and Media
Our work involves filming and photographing missionaries, ministry partners and the communities they serve. We seek permission from the people featured in our stories. If you appear in Story Mission content and have questions or would like something reviewed, please contact us.
Email Communications
If you join our email list, we send our emails through SendGrid, a service of Twilio. SendGrid stores your email address and any details you provided when signing up so it can deliver our messages. Our emails may include standard tracking that tells us whether a message was opened and which links were clicked. This helps us understand what’s useful to our supporters. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email or by contacting us.
Data Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information. However, no website or method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, or as required for legal, tax and accounting purposes.
Children’s Privacy
Our website is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
